ONE PIECE ODYSSEY is an exciting blend of classic turn-based JRPG action and some new adventure features. Each of the players takes control of one of Luffy’s crew members and their specific abilities and personalities. The game focuses on strategy in battles.
One of the adventure parts is the exploration. You’ll explore various environments on Waford and Memory World, solve puzzles, and uncover treasures. The unique abilities in each character’s field, such as Luffy’s Gum-Gum Rocket, assist in the complex maps.
The battle system is dubbed “Scramble Area Battle” and spice up conventional turn based battles. The placement of enemies and allies are in different areas and attack ranges have to be taken into consideration. It maintains all of the contests interesting.
- The battle is turn-based and involves utilizing the powerful abilities of each Straw Hat and exploiting their elemental weaknesses. Knowing various types of enemies are very important for winning.
- There is also the novelty of “Scramble Area Battle,” which splits the arena into zones that include some tactical positioning. Characters excel in specific areas or combat against a specific enemy.
- The “Memory Link” system will let players experience the different arcs of One Piece earlier in the franchise, providing them with some familiar moments, but also the ability to gain new abilities and re-acquire lost ones.
- When there are strong bonds between certain members of the crew, Bond Arts are more potent tag-team attacks that trigger to inflict high damage and change the course of the battle.
