Our Policy
Switch-ROM.org operates in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We respond promptly to valid takedown notices and will remove or disable access to infringing content upon receipt of a properly submitted notice.
We also reserve the right to terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice
To submit a valid DMCA notice, please provide the following information in writing:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised agent
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- The exact URL(s) of the content on our website that you claim is infringing
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
Response Time
We aim to process valid DMCA takedown notices within 3–5 business days. Upon verification, the infringing content will be removed or disabled promptly.
Counter-Notice
If you believe content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the removed content and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement consenting to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
Note: Submitting a false DMCA notice may expose you to liability for damages, including legal costs. Please ensure your claim is valid before submitting.
