Super Mario RPG’s gameplay is a fun mix of RPG elements and some cool action commands. Not only do you have to choose the commands, you have to time them to get the most out of your attack and defense. This leaves each battle interesting and gratifying.
There’s also plenty of exploration to be done, with colourful 3D worlds to explore, plenty of little treasures to find, and quirky characters to interact with. Also, There are secrets and sweet tidbits all over the world that exude invitation to explore around every corner.
Party Management is a major feature, being able to have 3 characters in your active party. Characters have unique abilities and stats, which allow them to be used in various combinations for different challenges. One of the pleasure of the game is to discover the ideal trio.
- Timed Hits: Attacks or defence that are timed to press a button at the right moment will cause an increase in damage or lower damage received.
- Action Commands: Special powers will involve specific button presses, which will make each power and ability more interactive.
- Turn-Based Combat: Play classic turn-based battles against different enemies, thinking strategically.
- Explore the Overworld: Navigate pretty environments, jump on platforms, and interact with the world to collect items and advance.
- Party System: Create a group of 3 out of 5 different characters, each with its own abilities and flaws.
- Experience: After a battle, level up stats and acquire new abilities.
- Equipment: Provide characters with different equipment to improve their skills, such as weapons, armor, and accessories.

Features
Action Commands (Timed Hits):
Combat is brought to the menu level. In time, you can hit high damage rolls, block incoming attacks completely, or even damage all enemies simultaneously by hitting the right buttons at the right time. The remake has visual cues to assist in learning the timing.
Party-Based Triple Moves:
Action Commands when successfully executed fill an Action Gauge. When activated, it can unleash a spectacular, devastating Triple Move depending on the three party members you have in combat.
Character Customization:
As your characters gain in level you can allocate bonus stats to HP, magical attacks, or physical attacks so you can build your team as you please.
Breezy Mode:
For new RPGs or just for the story, you can select the Breezy Mode which reduces enemy HP, increases experience and makes Action Commands easier to use.
Post-Game Content:
Once the game has been finished, one can try out their high-level abilities against enhanced versions of classic bosses.
